Complete Pre-Employment Medical Assessments
Our employment medicals are designed for a wide range of industries where health, safety, and regulatory compliance are essential. We provide comprehensive assessments for workers in mining, construction, transport, healthcare, aged care, security, emergency services, aviation, and maritime roles, as well as employees starting physically demanding positions or returning to work after illness or injury. Each assessment is tailored to meet the specific requirements of the employer and the role.

Employment medicals at Merrimac Medical Centre are conducted by experienced GPs who understand the physical and regulatory demands of a wide range of industries — from mining and construction to healthcare, transport, and aviation. We complete employer-specific medical forms and provide objective, accurate assessments of fitness for duty. Assessments are tailored to the role — a desk-based worker requires a different screen to an underground miner. We perform vision testing, hearing assessment, musculoskeletal evaluation, urine drug screening, spirometry, ECG, and other assessments as required by the employer's documentation.

Preparation
Bring your employer's medical assessment form, your Medicare card, and any relevant medical records. If no form is provided, inform reception so we can tailor the assessment to the role.
