Safe Iron & Aclasta Infusion Therapy
Our infusion therapy service provides safe, GP-supervised intravenous treatment for patients who require medication that cannot be effectively taken by mouth. We offer iron infusions for iron deficiency and anaemia, including cases where oral iron is ineffective or poorly tolerated, as well as Aclasta infusions for osteoporosis and Paget's disease of bone. Every treatment is delivered in a comfortable clinical setting with careful monitoring to ensure your safety and wellbeing.

Iron infusions are used when oral iron supplementation is ineffective, not tolerated, or when levels need to be restored quickly — for example, in patients with iron deficiency anaemia, IBD, chronic kidney disease, or post-partum iron depletion. Aclasta is an annual intravenous bisphosphonate used to treat osteoporosis and Paget's disease. Both infusions are administered by our nursing team under GP supervision in a dedicated treatment area. We arrange pre-infusion blood tests, monitor you throughout, and schedule follow-up testing to confirm your response.

We offer iron and Aclasta (zoledronic acid) infusions in a clinical, monitored environment — a convenient alternative to hospital-based infusion services.
Monitoring & Follow-Up
You are observed post-infusion before leaving. A follow-up blood test is arranged at 4–6 weeks to confirm your response and determine whether further treatment is needed.
Your Infusion
A cannula is inserted by our nursing team and the infusion is administered in a comfortable treatment area. Iron infusions take 15–60 minutes; Aclasta approximately 15–30 minutes.
GP Assessment
Your GP reviews your blood results, confirms the clinical indication for infusion, prescribes the medication, and ensures there are no contraindications before proceeding.
